The Mini Tabletop Clay Extruder with Press Attachment
Suitable for small scale potters who wish to produce consistent handles with minimal effort and time.
This item was designed by me, a potter, and I use it all the time and love it! I hated making handles before and have tried all sorts of methods and processes but could never get the results I wanted. Since installing this device in my studio for testing I have finally made mugs and jugs with handles I’m proud of!
The press attachment provides you with a solid platform to rest your pot so you can add your maker's mark without deforming the base of your pot.

The extruder base has 5 holes for secure mounting to a sturdy table or workbench (screws are not included) and comes with your choice of handle dies.
There are 6 different die shapes to choose from, all available in small - 18mm wide x 6mm deep, medium - 22mm wide x 7mm deep and large - 26mm wide x 8mm deep.
The shaft must not be over filled or the extruder won't work, I recommend no more then a 6cm sausage of clay (just over half full). It works best with soft clay, I use ES5, ES10 and have also tested it with Valentines KGM body and premium red.
The extruder comes with instructions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This item protrudes from the table surface, therefor it must be mounted on a secure and stable surface that will not topple over when pressure is applied to it. It is not intended for commercial use and has only been tested in the home hobby environment. It is your responsibility to ensure it is mounted on a solid and secure base and is used in accordance to the instructions and guidance given, which is included in your purchase. The mini extruder works best with non grogged, plastic'y clay.
This is a made to order 3D printed item. It is made out of PLA filament which is a recyclable, natural thermoplastic polyester that is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. It is biodegradable under certain conditions.

It is what is described - and a wonderful idea for the studio - however I found that the dies provided were too thin for mug handles and could have done with them being thicker

I used the extruder even before I mounted it. It works really well (follow the included instructions!), is easy to clean and makes great handles! This is a perfect tool if you are making in small batches. Yay!

Wonderful product for potters like me who aren’t handle pullers but still want a great quality, good looking handle. Easy to install and use. Took me a couple tries to get the hang of it. Once I got the extruder and my clay adequately wet, it was very smooth and easy to push through. Handles all turned out great. Thank you for this tool!
